1. Complete your online theory

Once your course has been purchased, you'll be enrolled onto your online theory within 24 hours.

Your online theory covers the essential knowledge you'll need before attending your practical training and must be completed in full before your training day, including all required quizzes and knowledge checks.

 

2. Attend your practical training day

You'll then join me at Els Gels for a full day of hands-on practical training day, where we'll put everything you've learnt online into practice.

We'll work through the practical aspects of both Gel Polish and Builder Gel, with demonstrations, guided practice and plenty of individual support throughout the day.

With a maximum of just 4 students, I'll be able to work closely with each of you as you develop your technique and confidence.

 

3. Practical assessment

You'll be continually assessed throughout your training day to ensure you're working safely and demonstrating the required techniques.

Where I feel additional practice or evidence is needed, you may be asked to complete additional case studies after your training day. If this applies to you, this will be discussed with you individually on the day.

 

4. Certification

Once all required online theory, practical assessments and any requested case studies have been successfully completed, you'll receive your accredited Els Gels Education certificate.

Throughout your online theory and practical training day, you'll cover the essential knowledge and techniques needed to begin offering professional Gel Polish and Builder Gel services safely and confidently.

You'll also be assessed throughout your practical training, with individual guidance and troubleshooting along the way.

To get the most from your practical training day, there are a few things you'll need to do before attending.

 

Your online theory must be completed in full before your training day, including all required quizzes and knowledge checks. This ensures we can spend as much of our face-to-face time as possible focusing on practical techniques, hands-on learning and individual guidance.

 

Please arrive with no product on your nails and no cuticle preparation already completed. You'll be working on your own natural nails throughout the day, allowing you to practise each technique yourself with support and feedback as you go.

 

The purpose of the training day is to learn and practise techniques, rather than to leave with a completed salon-style set of nails. Product may be applied and removed throughout the day as we work through different elements of the course, helping you get as much practical experience as possible.

 

All products and equipment required for your practical training will be provided for use on the day. Training is completely brandless, with a variety of professional products available so you're able to experience different systems rather than being taught using one specific brand. After leaving the course you can then choose which brand you choose to purchase.

Accreditation & Certification

This course is accredited by ABT.

 

No previous nail qualifications or experience are required to attend.

 

Once all required online theory, knowledge checks and practical assessments have been successfully completed, you'll receive a digital Els Gels Education certificate, allowing you to seek appropriate professional insurance and begin offering the treatments you've qualified in.

 

Printed certificates can also be arranged if required.

A public car park is located approximately a 3-minute walk from the salon and train station with links from London and Cambridge a 11-minute walk.

 

Please note that the training space does not have disabled access. If you have any accessibility requirements, please contact me before booking so we can discuss these with you.

 

On the Day

Classes are limited to a maximum of 4 students.

You'll be working on yourself throughout the practical training, so no model is required.

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day. Lunch is not included, so please bring your own lunch with you.

 

Booking & Transfers

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

Course fees are non-refundable.

If you're unable to attend your booked date, your place may be transferred to another available course date provided at least 14 days' notice is given.

Transfers requested within 14 days of your course date cannot be guaranteed and may result in the course fee being forfeited.

Please ensure you're able to attend your chosen date before completing your booking.
